Today in America, many more of its population is in need of affordable health care. A number of employers have reduced their health care benefits because accountants are working to tighter budgets and the cost of providing this service has risen. Before this year, I had great health care with my company but it has reduced this year so I know this is the reason. Out of the blue the company decided to change their health care provider because it was costing them too much.
They said that to have a low cost health care scheme for everyone meant we would have to change companies. I do not doubt that many people will say that I am still doing alright and should not complain. To some extent I do agree, but their search for another provider now costs me double the money from my paychecks to have my husband and daughter on my policy. Ok, so many other people benefit, including my company, but my paycheck is considerably lighter now that the premium has doubled to keep my family on the policy.
Ok, so my health care is still respectable but the new company that we have is not as good as our previous. Many workers saw their paychecks reduce when this new affordable health care scheme come into force. You see, four years ago, I gave birth to a little girl and of course my old insurance paid for the whole of my hospital stay. This new plan, under similar circumstances however, would personally cost me in excess of 5,000 dollars.
However, that amount is just for the hospital and delivery because I would also have other expenses and that just doesn’t seem fair to the majority that are involved. We are now seeing an increasing number of companies creating affordable health care plans. Options now exist for people that are not supplied with a health provision where they work, and now single mothers have access to plans which they can join; some people can even have free health care. Unfortunately, there are always a few that want to ruin it for the rest and this system is prone to misuse.

In the world of bodybuilding, the hottest topic in the gym is always protein and protein supplements. It isn’t any wonder, since protein is important for building mass muscle, but there are also three common myths that you are likely to hear about protein and protein supplements as well.
The first myth is that athletes do not actually require extra protein. This myth is absolutely false. A great deal of research has been done in this area, and people who are active simply need more protein. The more active you are the more protein that you need.
Recent research suggests that active people need 1.2 to 1.4 grams of protein for each kilogram of bodyweight. This is 150 more than the Recommended Daily Allowance of protein. Strength trainers need even more protein, and 1.7 to 1.8 grams of protein are recommended for each kilogram of bodyweight for this group of people.
Research has also found that athletes who only take in the recommended daily allowance of protein actually lose muscle, instead of gaining it. This is due to a decrease in whole-body protein synthesis, which is common in athletes. The additional protein recommended for athletes helps the body to keep a good nitrogen balance, which is essential to bodybuilding.
The second myth is that high protein diets are unhealthy, or even dangerous. There has been a lot of hype about kidney problems and osteoporosis associated with high protein diets, but there is no medical data to back it up.

We need to be aware of the dangers of prescriptions drugs, highlighted with the tragic passing of Heath Ledger (Why do all the good ones go?).
Why can’t it have been the guy who brought sexy back - Justin Timberlake? Why couldn’t it have been one of the weathermen?
The fourth leading killer in the US behind heart disease, cancer, stroke are prescription drugs. THE CORRECT DOSE OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. In 2005, 106,000 US citizens died in the United States from taking the prescribed dose of a pharmaceutical drug.
The problem with these drugs and I don’t care if we’re talking about antacids, paracetamol, even aspirin is that they are basically toxic to the human body.
In the majority of cases they are directly synthesised from a natural substance into a chemical that can be patented and sold for huge profits to the unsuspecting public.
Am I saying that these products have no use on this planet?
Pretty much. Unless one’s life was threatened immediately with non-compliance I would find an alternative to any of their products.
Now obviously at this point nobody knows how Heath Ledger died and we may never have a definitive answer on that, especially if he was using combinations of these types of drugs.
